How it All Started

Here’s how it all started... 2004 we were being stationed in Hawaii with the Army. My brother was an agent in Las Vegas and he told me I needed to get into real estate in Hawaii. So, I did it! We spent 3 years there and I had a very good career. 


Then in 2007 we were being stationed back on the mainland in Kansas. I restarted my career. Who knew there was going to be a GREAT RECESSION over the next several years?!?! I worked hard and built another great business!

I was finishing up my GRI, Graduate Realtor Institute, designation. One of the instructors came up to me at break. She said, One day you will be teaching real estate. I literally laughed at her. NO WAY!! 


Fast forward to 2009. I became the tech ambassador for our brokerage’s new platform. I loved training and helping the agents learn and grow. Then in 2011, I became a new agent trainer. I closed over $5 million in volume and 3 of my new agents closed over $2 million each!! 


2014, I was offered a job as Director of Operations for a very successful team. I said YES! This was an amazing opportunity for me to grow my leadership skills, as well as continuing to train agents. 


2016 is when it all fell into place for me. I was offered the opportunity to be the Productivity Coach for the brokerage. For 2.5 years I grew my team to 50 agents. In 2017 we closed over $30 million in volume. And this was with all brand new agents!! My passion was discovered. Growing as a coach through these years was absolutely amazing! 


In late 2017 I joined The Locker Room - Real Estate Coaching to bring more value, tools and resources to the agents I serve. This started my journey with TLR. I now serve as the Heartland Region Director, partnering with brokerages, Agents and Teams in reaching their BIG goals!! I'm honored and blessed to be doing what I am passionate about and what makes me happy!

A Little Bit About Me

Passion, I didn't really know what that was until I was offered an opportunity to coach agents!! I loved selling homes, until I was introduced to leadership and coaching. I knew I had found my calling. Today as I approach the 1/2 century mark, I feel I am just getting started!! It's so fun and fulfilling to be on the RIGHT path for my life and career.


I was born and raised a Nebraska Cornhusker!! GBR! I graduated from Nebraska Wesleyan University in 1992, with a Bachelors in Psychology. I was married that same year and traveled the world as an ARMY wife, retiring in 2012 after 20 years. We lived in Virginia, England, Texas, New York, Hawaii and settled in Kansas in 2007


My boyfriend Brian and I love to travel to see family. We have an RV motor coach that allows us to have our own space when we travel. My son Cole is married to Faith and they are stationed with the ARMY at Ft Drum, New York. My son Gavan is studying accounting at Kansas State University. I am so proud of my boys and my daughter-in-love! 


I provide a safe space for Real Estate Leaders and Agents to learn and grow, without judgement. Being your business partner, I have a vested interest in your success!!

Jake Dixon is the Founder and CEO of The Locker Room. He started his real estate career in 2007 with Lennar Homes in Jacksonville / St. Augustine, FL. where he spent 3 years as the Internet New Home Consultant. After moving back to his home state of Illinois, he joined forces with Keller Williams Realty.

Inside the Keller Williams world Jake spent time as a successful Team Leader at multiple locations across the country. During that time he found that while real estate markets are local, many real estate agents are called to the business to help people and when unprepared and unsupported only stay in the business for 2 years. A statistic he has been unwilling to accept and is driven to change. Soon he found himself aligned with his true passion of rolling up his sleeves, and coaching agents to achieve their dreams. And The Locker Room was born. What started as a facebook group for fellow coaches to collaborate and mastermind, turned into a coaching business with locations across the US and in Canada. Today, The Locker Room is 130+ coaches strong, encompasses a vast resource library, tools, systems, The Locker Room University, and CORE. The powerful tracking platform used by coaches and agents alike.

Jake continues to pour his passion, persistence and purpose into those that he serves. He is an avid learner and continually seeking ways to develop personally through podcasts, books, attending trainings, and masterminding with other high achievers. Jake is married to his wife Carissa and has 2 young daughters, Ava and Adalyn.
